ABC is betting on Tim Allen to lead a Tuesday night comedy block with “Last Man Standing.” And who can blame ABC for going back to that well? Allen’s “Home Improvement” was one of the network’s biggest pre-millennial hits.
In “Last Man Standing,” Allen plays the patriarch of a hilarious (of course) dysfunctional family. Nancy Travis (“So I Married an Axe Murderer’s” Harriet, sweet Harriet) takes over for Patricia Richardson as Allen’s female counterpart. Allen’s three daughters (hence the “last man” reference) are played by Molly Ephraim, Alexandra Krosney and Kaitlyn Dever. Hector Elizondo (most recently seen on “Monk” and “Grey’s Anatomy) is also along for the ride.
What do you think? Will lightning strike for Allen twice?
