“I’ll never be a stick figure.”
This is what Jill Scott tells Us Weekly while discussing her 63 pound weight loss. Scott 39, weighed 263 pounds before making the decision to lose weight two years ago. “I’d walk up nine steps and be out of breath,” Scott recalls.
Scott credits the birth of her son Jett (with her ex, Lil’ John Roberts) in April 2009 as the stimulus for her weight loss. “There’s a world of discovery in his eyes,” Scott says. “And I want to be around to enjoy it!”
Scott’s ingredients for weight-loss success? Three low-fat meals and two snacks per day along with 60-minute cardio and strength-training sessions three times a week with her trainer.
Scott calls her training sessions — which include kickboxing, boxing and biking outdoors — “fun.”
