As the bride, Kate Middleton kind of missed out on all the crazy hat fun at the royal wedding, going for the traditional tiara-veil combo for her four-minute walk down the aisle. She got her chance to rock quite the fascinator at the Garter Day celebrations.
Middleton’s headpiece, a Philip Treacy design, wasn’t quite as enormous as her stepmother-in-law’s, but it did make a statement, matching perfectly with her grey dress and coat.
Her husband, Prince William, wore a feather in his cap, as did the rest of the Knights of the Garter as the Garter “installed” two new members.
