We don’t normally write stories about the weddings about “Lost” guest stars (unless they happen to be, like, Allison Janney or something), but when we found out about the marriage of 51-year-old Doug Hutchison and 16-year-old country singer Courtney Alexis Stodden, we felt we had to share.
Who is Hutchison, you ask? “Lost” fans may remember him as the semi-creepy Horace Goodspeed, leader of the ’60s-era Dharma Initiative. He’s also had parts in tons of TV projects, including “The X-Files,” “The Practice,” “Kidnapped” and “24.” He also played Percy Wetmore in 1999’s “The Green Mile.”
Stodden, his new wife, is reportedly a former beauty pageant queen trying to establish herself as a Nashville singing star, according to E! News.
“We’re aware that our vast age difference is extremely controversial,” the couple said in a statement to E!. “But we’re very much in love and want to get the message out there that true love can be ageless.”
Stodden is also listed on the website of Hutchison’s company, Dark Water Inc., as a client. And, based on the photo above, we’d like to go on record as thinking she looks closer to 35 than 16.
