Linda Evangelista has been famously mum about the paternity of her 4-year-old son Augustin James, but now a report says that the father of her child is none other than billionaire CEO Francois-Henri Pinault, the husband of actress Salma Hayek.
The New York Post is reporting that Evangelista came to court Thursday (June 30) in the hopes of reaching a support settlement with Pinault, despite denying reports that he was the baby’s father back in 2007 and publicly claiming the boy’s father was a New York City architect.
A court source tells the Post that this was Evangelista’s third or fourth visit to Family Court without an agreement being reached, which means a trial could be happening in the near future. Pinault was not in court Thursday, but his lawyer David Aronson tells the Post that was a misunderstanding.
Augustin James was conceived in early 2006, when Pinault and Hayek were in an off-again phase. Augustin was born Oct. 11 of that same year. Pinault and Hayek wed in 2009 and have an almost-4-year-old of their own, Valentina, born Sept. 21, 2007. Pinault also has two children, Francois and Mathide, from his first marriage.
