grazia kate middleton Kate Middleton: Grazia admits to doctoring cover picBy no stretch of the imagination is Kate Middleton a big girl. Yet eagle-eyed magazine readers noticed that on the cover of Grazia magazine’s collector’s issue featuring her in her wedding gown, her waist appeared even more slim that usual.

A ruckus was raised and Britain’s Press Complaints Commission was notified. They launched an investigation and concluded that yes, in fact, the cover image had been altered.

Not that they needed to go to much trouble investigating since Grazia admits that some digital doctoring went down.

As Kate did not pose for the magazine’s cover, Grazia had to make do with the available art that was out there from the wedding day. Unable to find a suitable shot of Kate alone, they were forced to mirror one of her arms. A side effect was that her waist came out smaller than it actually is.

“We did not purposely make any alterations to the Duchess of Cambridge’s image to make her appear slimmer, and we are sorry if this process gave that impression,” Grazia says in a statement.

Long story short: She’s still skinny, just not that skinny.
