Gaga’s got it.
Forbes writes Gaga won the celebrity title because “she’s made good on both in dollar signs and massive constituency. She raked in $90 million over the past year … [and] became the first Twitter user to reach 12 million followers, trumping teen dream Justin Bieber and President Obama.” They also cite her charity work having raised more than $200 million to fight HIV and AIDS.
Other notable celebrities on the list of 100 include Beyonce (No. 19), Angelina Jolie (No. 29), Ellen DeGeneres (No. 53) and “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling (No. 61).
Despite a multi-platinum album in “Born this Way,” a sold out tour and and an HBO special, Gaga saw her overall ranking slip from her 2010 spot at No. 7. Winfrey took an even bigger dive from her 2010 ranking at No. 3, certainly much of it due to the end of her long-running daytime talk show.
