A Queens, N.Y. woman who is accused of stalking Marion Cotillard has been charged in Federal court and warned to stay away from the French actress.
According to the New York Daily News, Teresa Yuan was arrested on Thursday (Aug. 4) and released the next day on $50,000 bail. The FBI was clued in to Yuan’s alleged threats when administrators of a Cotillard fan website contacted them to report increasingly violent e-mail and video threats sent to the actress by Yuan.
Yuan indicated in one e-mail that she was aware of Cotillard’s travel schedule.
“I can be very calm and respectful and kind, but then you push me too far or back me in a corner and this is how I feel,” says Yuan in one video.
Cotillard, 35, is best remembered for her role as Edith Piaf in “La Vie En Rose” and is currently filming the upcoming “The Dark Knight Rises.” She and actor/director Guillaume Canet welcomed their first child, Marcel, in May.
