Jonah Hill was a guest on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” Wednesday (Sept. 21) to promote his new movie “Moneyball,” which we may now go see based solely on the story he told about a run-in with Matthew Morrison earlier this year.
The story is almost too good to spoil with any kind of transcription, so we’ll just set the scene before you hit play on the clip at the top of the post. Hill also co-created and stars in “Allen Gregory,” an animated series that debuts on FOX in October, and so he went to the network’s upfront presentation in May to be introduced with the rest of FOX’s stars.
It was there that he and “Glee” star Morrison had their first encounter, and it wasn’t a pleasant one. Hill saw Morrison again soon after that, and things only got worse. So now, at least in Hill’s mind, he’s in a full-on feud with Morrison.
We have no idea how much of this is actually true, but it’s a great story, with cameos from Zooey Deschanel, Randy Jackson and Chace Crawford, among others. And if it is a put-on, Hill sells it quite well. Nice work.
