In the last remaining days before the Fall TV season starts in earnest, ABC won the night with its Summer reality fare “Bachelor Pad.” The three-hour block of the program, dominated the night, beating out NBC and the “2011 Miss Universe Pageant.” CBS’s prime time line-up was altered after the U.S. Open coverage pushed everything back about 35 minutes.

ABC averaged 7.1 million viewers and a 4.7 rating/7 share easily winning the crown. NBC wrapped up second place (4.9 million, 3.2/5), FOX followed (4.6 million, 2.9/4), CBS’s re-run heavy night came in fourth (4.2 million, 2.8/4) and The CW came in last (1.2 million, 0.9/1).

ABC and the “Bachelor Pad” block propelled the network to an easy win in the 18-49 demographic with a 2.3 rating.
