Looks like FOX is coming back for seconds on their animated series “Bob’s Burgers.”
The network announced Monday (Oct. 31) that they’ve placed an order for nine more episodes of the cartoon. This is in addition to the 13 new shows they already requested from producers Loren Bouchard and Jim Dauterive.
The series, which follows the lives of a burger joint-owning family, debuted in Jan. 2011 and finished its initial 13-episode run averaging about 5.1 million viewers. In the 18-49 demo, the series finished tied for 59th with a 2.4/6 share.
The new episodes are set to debut during mid-season. Shows will look into such oddities as Bob testing out synchronized swimming and trying out the world of food trucks. The network also announced the series will feature guest voices including Kevin Kline, Sarah Silverman and Megan Mullally in the upcoming season.
