As the Occupy Wall Street movement continues to gain steam, it was probably just a matter of time for some mega-corporation to try to capitalize on it. And the winner is…Viacom.
The broadcast giant, through their cable channel MTV, is looking to cast people for the 27th iteration of their “Real World” series. “Real World” producers Bunim/Murray posted an ad on Craigslist NY on Monday (Oct. 17) looking for potential cast members.
The ad reads:
Part of Occupy Wall Street? Real World 27 Wants You! (Battery Park)
MTV’s Real World is seeking cast members to tell their unique stories on our show. If you are over the age of 20 and appear to be between the ages of 20-24, and the description below sounds like you, we want to hear from you!
