“Pretty Little Liars” is gearing up for a special Halloween treat for the viewers – a flashback, prequel episode. Star Sasha Pieterse (Alison DiLaurentis herself!) tells Zap2it there’s a reason it’s called “The First Secret.”
“I really like this episode because, you know, it’s called ‘The First Secret’ for a reason,” says Sasha. “There are so many secrets in this, so many first secrets. It’s the first look at the girls’ friendship in the beginning and the first encounter with all the enemies, so that’s really interesting.”
Speaking of enemies, we’ve seen some preview pictures of the episode and it looks like Alison and Jenna show up to the Halloween party both dressed as Lady Gaga. We don’t think Alison would ever stand for that and Sasha agrees.
“It gets really dicey with Jenna because she’s kind of showing Alison up. There’s
confrontation there,” teases Pieterse. “It’s kind of cool because it’s a different side to
a lot of the characters that the viewers haven’t really seen before.”
“It’s all from Alison’s point of view. All the flashbacks so far have been from
the girls’ point of view. This is from Alison’s point of view, so there are even
scenes with Alison alone, which is something we’ve never had before,” Pieterse continues. “It’s interesting to see how she remembers it. It gets really
interesting, especially with Jenna.”
We have also seen in promos that the girls appear to be being stalked by a person in an uber-creepy costume (pictured, right). So who is that masked man?
“I can’t really say too much, but you’re not sure,” says Pieterse. “It’s that costume that everyone wears, so you’re not sure who’s in it. It’s going to keep you guessing as to who’s in the costume.”
That sounds pretty scary, which Sasha assures us the episode will deliver on.
“It is definitely scary. If anything has freaked [the viewers] out already, this takes it up about 100 notches,” says Sasha. “It puts it on another level and you see that ‘A’ is definitely not messing around.”
