Contrary to popular belief, CNET reports that the iPhone 4S — the most current version — is not the last Apple product that Steve Jobs designed before his death. The visionary co-owner of Apple contributed work to the as yet unreleased iPhone 5, all the way from conception to final approval.
An analyst at Rodman & Renshaw tells CNET that the iPhone 5 will be a “cult classic” because of Jobs’ involvement. The new phone is expected to have the same dimensions as the iPhone 4S, but with a larger screen.
Another source says the iPhone 5 is a “complete redesign. “This is a very large project that Steve dedicated all of his time to. He was not that involved in the 4S because his time was limited.” It is likely to debut in summer 2012.
