“The Big Bang Theory” scored big ratings Thursday, matching its season high in adults 18-49 and providing a strong launchpad for the season premiere of “Rules of Engagement.” Game 2 of the World Series on FOX was right in line with Wednesday’s Game 1, at least as things stand now.

FOX averaged 12.9 million viewers and an 8.0 rating/13 share for the night, although those numbers will rise some when the live baseball telecast is taken into account.
