Apparently butt crack is a no-no when it comes to landing a coveted PG-13 rating for a movie aimed predominately 13-year-old girls. At least according to Robert Pattinson, who along with the rest of the cast of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” stops by “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Friday (Nov. 18) to talk about the latest installment in their vampire epic.
Ellen, of course, asks Pattinson about his love scene with co-star (and presumed real-life girlfriend) Kristen Stewart and why it had to be recut to landing the movie an R rating:
Robert: There was a bit too much butt crack I think. That was one thing I know they cut out. They didn’t cut the shot or what ever they just cut the crack out.
Ellen: How do you cut the crack out?
Robert: They just painted over it.
Ellen: It makes you look like you don’t have a crack. They cover it so there is no crack on your butt? You just look like one solid cheek?
Robert: Yeah, you’re allowed to show cheek. You can’t show crack.
Tune in Friday for more with Kristen and Robert and the rest of the “Twilight” crew: Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Jackson Rathbone, Peter Facinelli and Elizabeth Reaser.
