Figures from the two most hyped weddings of 2011 are on Barbara Walters‘ list of the “10 Most Fascinating People of 2011” — although one wasn’t the bride and the other has already ended her union.
Pippa Middleton, the obsessed-over sister of Princess Catherine, and Kim Kardashian — along with the rest of her camera-loving family — are part of the list that Walters will count down in her annual special, which airs Dec. 14 on ABC.
Others on the list include “X Factor” impresario Simon Cowell; “Modern Family” stars Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet; pop star Katy Perry; Donald Trump; and New York Yankee Derek Jeter, who became the newest member of baseball’s 3,000-hit club this year.
If you’re wondering why Pippa Middleton made this year’s list over her sister, it’s because Kate was part of last year’s special. Also, by our count, the names revealed Wednesday (Nov. 30) account for, at most, eight slots on Walters’ list (and possibly only seven, if she counts Ferguson and Stonestreet as one entity).
We suspect a political figure will fill one of those spots — and no, we’re not counting Trump. There’s also not a movie star on the list yet — so Ryan Gosling, this may be your chance to put the Bradley Cooper Incident behind you. (Last year’s No. 1 was Gen. David Petraeus, then the commander of U.S. forces in Afghanistan.)
Who should round out Walters’ list for 2011?
