There’s one thing that Whitney Duncan neglected to tell “Survivor” producers when she was cast as part of the crew currently toughing it out on “Survivor: South Pacific.”
Her official show bio describes her as 27, a Nashville resident and a country music singer and, earlier this year, she was named one of Country Weekly’s Hottest Bachelorettes.
But, according to People, Duncan has been married since August 2010 to Donny Fallgatter, 32, lead singer of the band KingBilly. They had met just three months early at Nashville’s CMA Music Festival.
But then “Survivor” happened and Duncan jetted off to the South Pacific. This is where things get awkward. While taping the show, Duncan started a relationship with fellow contestant Keith Tollefson. According to People’s source, she called Duncan before returning to Nashville to tell him about the tryst.
“I called him and he was really upset so I went over to his place,” says the source. “That’s when he told me that she wasn’t his fiancee, but his wife, that they had gotten married the summer before. I was totally shocked.”
Though the season is still underway on CBS (Tollefson was voted off the island on the Nov. 2 episode), Duncan has been back in Nashville for several months and spotted with Tollefson, even referring to her “BF” in Twitter posts.
