The miracle of vampire child birth may not be as beautiful as it sounds. Reports have emerged that the graphic scene from “Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1” is causing seizures.
CBS Sacramento is reporting that a local resident, Brandon Gephart, was sent to the hospital after watching the overly graphic segment in the vampire flick. His medical condition ended the viewing for the rest of the film goers.
“He was convulsing, snorting, trying to breathe,” says Gephart’s girlfriend Kelly Bauman. “He scared me big time.”
Similar news is coming out Salt Lake City where a man suffered a seizure during the film.
“I didn’t really remember what happened after that,” the unidentified man tells Salt Lake City’s ABC4. “I think I blacked out. According to [my wife] I was shaking and mumbling different noises.”
Sacramento-area physician Dr. Michael Chez explains that the scene’s flashing red, white and black images might be the cause.
“It’s like a light going off because it hits your brain all at once,” Chez says to CBS Sacramento. “The trouble with theaters is that they’re so dark, the light flashing in there is more like a strobe light.”
Maybe “The Muppets” is a better choice.
