A new teaser for TNT’s “Dallas” gives us some hints at how the show will handle its next-generation update of the saga of the Ewing family. It appears that apples haven’t fallen far from trees.
The younger generation of Ewings is represented by Josh Henderson as J.R.’s (Larry Hagman) son, John Ross, who has the oil business in his blood, and Jesse Metcalfe as Bobby’s (Patrick Duffy) adopted son Christopher, who wants to restore the Ewing name by other means. Like fathers, like sons.
The other new cast members are Julie Gonzalo as Christopher’s fiancee, Rebecca; Jordana Brewster as Elena, whom both John Ross and Christopher have feelings for; and Brenda Strong as Bobby’s wife, Ann.
The new trailer also includes the cast talking about what drew them to the new “Dallas,” how it lines up with the old show and what viewers can expect.
“Dallas” debuts next summer on TNT. What do you think of the new trailer?
