If you love Daniel Craig, this is pretty fantastic news. Michael G. Wilson, the producer of the James Bond films wants Craig to sign on for another 5 films after “Skyfall,” bringing his total to 8. If this happens, he’ll beat Roger Moore’s record of 7.
Wilson tells The People (no, not that People) that talks would begin after “Skyfall” finishes filming.
“Daniel’s been a terrific Bond, a superb actor and a terrific man,”
Wilson says. “The fans love him and I don’t think there’s a better
actor to play the part.”
“Filming has gone very well so far and I’d love Daniel to surpass
Roger’s record and do eight pictures,” he continues. “Daniel’s been an absolute pleasure
to be around because he takes the role so seriously. There’s really no
one more passionate about making these films work than him — he’s a filmmaker’s dream.
A lot of people have said Daniel’s been their favourite [sic] Bond since Sean Connery and I can’t argue with them. He’s doing a great job.”
Whether or not Craig would be willing to take on a contract like that, which would keep him very busy for a long time, remains to be seen. While you’re waiting to hear him say, “Shaken, not stirred” in “Skyfall,” you can see Craig in “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.”
