When Charlie Sheen was booted from “Two and a Half Men,” fans of the show probably thought there wouldn’t be any more rabble rousing from the cast. But Holland Taylor, who plays Evelyn Harper on the CBS series, did quite a number recently while talking about Republican leaders Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann.
Taylor, who is playing the late Texas Governor Ann Richards in a one-woman play, was asked by Politico what Richards might have said of Palin and Bachmann. This is when it got ugly really quick.
“I think she would laugh her a** off,” Taylor tells the political website. “I see Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin and think it is the end of the world if they can actually be taken seriously as presidential candidates. But Ann would just think it was funny. I think she would be pretty sure they wouldn’t get elected so they would just be good amusement value.”
Taylor didn’t stop there. She says that “the ‘mom candidates’ who have surged forward are not politicians and not experienced and don’t know what the hell they’re talking about for the most part.”
While Taylor’s comments aren’t going to get her fired like when Sheen called his boss, Chuck Lorre, a “stupid, stupid little man and a p**** punk that I’d never want to be like,” it certainly won’t make her any friends within the GOP.
