Royal Carribean newest cruise ship, Allure of the Seas, and it has a lot to offer: the first Starbucks at sea, the hit musical “Chicago,” meet-and-greets with Shrek, Po the Panda and other DreamWorks’s characters, margaritas, a classic carousel, Flow Rider surf simulators, zip lines and aerial acrobats.
And, if that’s not enough, this August, tourists can spend a week with Kate Gosselin.
The woman who’s made a career out of largely-absentee motherhood will be aboard Allure of the Seas for a round-trip cruise from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida through the Western Carribean the week of Aug. 12. It’s not for fun though, she’s working.
Gosselin will host a private welcome cocktail party where guests will receive a “commemorative personalized gift” and take pictures with fans. She will also mingle at a brunch, private BBQ, a charity dinner and a farewell dinner. Plus, look for at her during on-board activities — including a book signing and craft demonstration — as well as leading an on-shore excursion at one of the ports of call.
One question though: Do the Plus 8 get to go too?
