If there’s one truism in life, it’s never mess with a Muppet. FOX Business anchor Eric Bolling learned this lesson the hard way when the Muppets responded to his recent attack.
In Dec. 2011, Bolling suggested the movie “The Muppets” pushed an “anti-corporate message” by making the film’s bad guy an oil tycoon named Tex Richman. While promoting the film in England on Jan. 26, Kermit and Miss Piggy were asked their thoughts on these comments. That’s when The Frog and Piggy went hog-wild on the anchor.
“It’s a funny thing. They were concerned about us having some prejudice against oil companies. That I can tell you is categorically not true,” Kermit says. “And besides, if we had a problem with oil companies, why would we have spent the entire film driving around in a gas-guzzling Rolls Royce?”
Piggy, never one to tap dance her hooves around any subject, was much less diplomatic.
“It’s almost as laughable as accusing FOX News as, you know, being news,” she says.
Kermit tried to rein her back in. But this little piggy wasn’t about to go wee wee wee all the way home.
She continues, “If they take what I say seriously, they’ve got real big problems.”
