Between “Extreme Couponing” and “Toddlers & Tiaras,” TLC has proven that it’s very good at creating addictive television about previously unpublicized subcultures. Its latest target is collecting, in the new series “My Crazy Obsession.”
Based on the network’s fall 2011 special “My Collection Obsession,” the new series will take you into the homes of people infatuated with objects, people or lifestyles. Some of the subjects tackled in the eight-part series are Cabbage Patch Kids and the color pink.
The best part about “My Crazy Obsession” is that the amount of fodder for each episode is endless. People collect the most random things! We look forward to displaying our collection of press screeners of swiftly canceled TV shows when it finally gets out of hand at some point in 2014.
The new show premieres Wednesday, March 7 at 10 p.m. on TLC.
