Get ready to meet four new mothers: MTV has ordered “Teen Mom 3,” a third version of its reality hit.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the spinoff (which is itself a spinoff) will feature girls profiled on the upcoming fourth season of “16 and Pregnant.” A premiere date has not yet been set, but “16 and Pregnant” Season 4 will debut on March 27.
The original “Teen Mom” will return over the summer for its fourth season, although Amber Portwood’s legal troubles have left her participation in the show up in the air. The second half of the “Teen Mom 2” Season 2 reunion special airs Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 10 p.m. on MTV.
THR reports that the third season of “16 and Pregnant” averaged 2 million dollars each week and ranked No. 1 in its time slot among viewers 12-34 and women 12-34.
