It turns out Cee Lo Green is such a good salesman, he even convinced himself. The “Forget You” singer is moving to Las Vegas.
Cee Lo, who has recently starred in a commercial for Sin City, is going to set up house there – at least part time. He’ll do so as he readies for his upcoming show “Loberace” at Planet Hollywood.
The semi-permanent show will launch Aug. 29 and will run at least through the end of 2012. It’s been described as a “production [that] will combine Cee Lo’s flamboyant sense of style and over-the-top creativity.”
Show producers say “Loberace” will offer musical tributes to artists including Prince and the Rolling Stones. In typical Vegas fashion, it will also feature “mind-twisting magic and sexified showgirls.”
As for his actual move to Las Vegas, Green will have to wait until he’s done on NBC’s “The Voice.” But it sounds like he’s ready and eager to make the move.
“I love the city. I can’t wait to be a part of it. I can’t wait to be officially there,” Green tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “From this generation I would just like to be able to carry on, and pick up the torch and continue to make Vegas a place to be.”
