The New York Times is in deep GOOP with Gwyneth Paltrow for suggesting a ghostwriter penned her cookbook, “My Father’s Daughter.”
“Love @nytimes dining section but this weeks facts need checking. No ghost writer on my cookbook, I wrote every word myself,” she tweeted Saturday (March 17).
The Times’ Julia Moskin, a cookbook ghostwriter herself, writes in her article that the book, which was dedicated to the memory of Paltrow’s late father, Bruce, was a collaboration between Julia Turshen and Paltrow — and that the pair are working on a second cookbook together.
Paltrow does write in the book that she could “not have written this book without the tireless, artful assistance of Julia Turshen, who stood over my shoulder at the stove and chopping block for the better part of a year, bringing a method to my freestyling madness.”
So who’s telling the truth? Tough call, but perhaps you can munch on these tasty (and healthy) Butternut Squash Fries while you ponder.
