On Tuesday’s (March 27), “Martha Stewart Show,” Martha announced that Pennyslvania native Christina Verrelli won the 2012 Pillsbury Bake-off with her recipe for Pumpkin Ravioli with Salted Caramel Whipped Cream.
The cook says she was inspired by local Pennsylvania sweet donuts with dipping sauces.
“It’s a unique use of the products and is something different for people to try and make at home,” she says in a press release.
The item is actually a dessert — made with Pillsbury Crescent dough sheets, it kind of comes out as a creative take on pumpkin pie.
Verelli wins $1 million and $10,000 worth of GE kitchen appliances.
