The April 26 episode of “Community” is the much anticipated “Law & Order” episode and it is the best of the season so far. The cast has been talking about it for weeks now, saying that it’s their favorite. It’s easy to see why.
The opening alone is just about perfect, the title being split into “Comm” and “Unity” and featuring shots of the cast in the “L&O” style. The episode is light on Britta (Gillian Jacobs) and Pierce (Chevy Chase), but their moments are hysterical. This week, a yam experiment goes wrong and the gang must discover who sabotaged their class project. Jeff (Joel McHale) and Annie (Alison Brie) lawyer up, with Abed (Danny Pudi) and Troy (Donald Glover) playing good cop/bad cop and Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown) as their commander. Michael Kenneth Williams is back as Professor Kane.
It all ends up in a trial, but the big moment (which was not revealed to the press) ends in a phone call that is clearly disturbing. Is this the big death? It certainly appears to be. Let us know what you think after it airs, and remember to watch it live! If you don’t love the lab scene, you have no funny bone.
