The CW has set premiere dates for two of its four unscripted series this summer. Docu-soaps “The Catalina” and “Breaking Pointe” will both debut at the end of May.
“The Catalina” follows several staff members at The Catalina hotel in Miami. The network describes the crew as a “young [and] wild” group that likes to “party even harder than their guests.” The show debuts at 8 p.m. ET Tuesday, May 29, leading into the finale of “The L.A. Complex.”
“Breaking Pointe” is a backstage look at the dancers in Ballet West in Salt Lake City, “one of the most competitive ballet companies in the country.” It will focus on the competition and pursuit of perfection among the members of the company. It will premiere at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 31. Both shows will also have encore airings on Mondays starting June 4, with “Breaking Pointe” at 8 o’clock and “The Catalina” at 9.
The CW also has two other shows in the pipeline for summer, talent competition “The Star Next Door” and game show “Oh Sit!” It hasn’t set premiere dates for them yet.
