Deion Sanders and estranged wife Pilar Biggers-Sanders have been back in the news lately after an altercation occurred at Sanders’ home late Monday night (April 23). Sanders was live-tweeting the incident, for which Pilar was later arrested on an assault charge.
Now news has broken that Sanders will also be held accountable for the incident that happened at their home in a Dallas suburb. Police have told the AP that further investigation has led to charges being filed against Sanders, though they did not warrant an arrest. The allegations have not been detailed, but it carries a fine of up to $500.
Pilar was released from jail on Tuesday and after she said outside the jail, “I’m a full-time mom, 100 percent for my children. And I just haven’t been given a fair shake.”
A magistrate judge has ordered PIlar to stay away from the Sanders’ home for 60 days and also barred her from threatening or harassing her husband.
The Sanders married in 1999 and Deion filed for divorce from Pilar in December 2011.
