“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kim Zolciak’s new spinoff “Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding” premiered Thursday (April 26), revealing a happier, more mellow Kim than viewers are used to seeing on Bravo. Perhaps it’s because rather than being surrounded by the likes of NeNe Leakes, Marlo Hampton and company, she’s surrounded by her fabulous stylist Shun, best friend and matron of honor Jen, husband Kroy Biermann, and adorable kiddos Brielle, Ariana and Kroy Jagger.
Sure, viewers could probably take or leave her mom, Karen (and it seems like Kim might be with us on that one), especially after she asks to have two dresses for Kim’s wedding. As Kim says, “Moms don’t change.” She’s talking about dresses there, but it seems like it’s just kind of a life lesson.
Kim has just eight weeks to plan the wedding of her dreams, and luckily she’s got one cool cucumber of a husband-to-be. She’s nailed down her celebrity event planner — Colin Cowie — her wedding dress, her reception dress, her matron of honor, the groom and the location. And she may or may not be having a groom’s cake depicting
NeNe a moose riding on a four wheeler.
And yes, there’s a little bit of drama coming up on Kim’s big day, but that won’t prevent Kim from happily ever after.
