Zap2it: How did you respond to the pilot script for this show when you got it?
Dreama Walker: Oh, I was in love with it and I wanted to just throw myself at it and let it take me for everything, because I wanted it so badly. It was a mix of quirky and hilarious, a combination of “Mean Girls” and “30 Rock,” and I loved all the flashbacks and all the references. I was super, super excited to be a part of it.
Zap2it: Will we be seeing June in other job situations this season?
Dreama Walker: We definitely see that June is having a hard time getting another job, just like a lot of other people, and she’s actively submitting her resume and staying focused. There may or may not be a couple of other jobs during the first season. I can’t tell you. But it’s funny and ever-changing.
Zap2it: You made a big impression as the scheming Becca on “The Good Wife.” What was that experience like?
Dreama Walker: I was honored to be on that show, and I loved that part. I’m certainly not as “strategic” or malicious as Becca was, and I don’t think I ever could be, but I do think there was a side to me when I was a kid that wanted to be that cool. I kind of tapped into that a little bit. I also base characters like her on hybrids of people I know sometimes. That just kind of happens.
