Justin Bieber continued his breadcrumb trail of video clips for his new song “Boyfriend” on Tuesday’s (April 17) “The Voice,” revealing a few more moments of him whisper-rapping into a Selena Gomez lookalike’s ear and being groped by a bunch of female hands. But in a segment for Thursday’s “Good Morning America,” Lara Spencer questions if the video is too hot for Bieber’s tween audience.
Other pop stars like Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears have tried to transition from sweet and innocent to a more provocative look and sound — some with more success than others.
“All those Beliebers have to grow up sometime,” Spencer surmises.
So is 18-year-old Bieber one of the ones who can easily make the move from “sweet little Justin Bieber,” as Spencer calls him, to sexy, whisper-rapping Justin Bieber? And is it different because he’s a guy? Does it make the transition easier?
What do you think?
