eric stonestreet justified villain 'Justified' wants Eric Stonestreet as a Season 4 bad guyThe creator of “Justified” is looking for a way to have “Modern Family” star Eric Stonestreet on the show next season … as a villain.

Graham Yost says he and his fellow writers are “still looking” for a role for Stonestreet, an Emmy winner for playing Cameron on the ABC hit, on the FX show. Season 3 of “Justified” wrapped up on Tuesday, and the show will return to FX early next year.

“He’s a Kansas boy, and he’d like to play a bad guy,” Yost tells The Wrap. “So if we can come up with something that fits in with [‘Modern Family’s’] schedule, of course we will … he’s just great.”

Stonestreet may be best known for his comedic performance as Cameron, but he’s got plenty of drama credits to his name as well. He played a death row inmate on “Nip/Tuck” in 2009 and had a recurring part on “CSI” in the early 2000s. He’s also guest-starred on “American Horror Story,” “NCIS” and “The Mentalist.”
