Michelle Williams has left Capeside pretty far in the rearview mirror since “Dawson’s Creek” ended in 2003, racking up three Oscar nominations in the past six years. But she’s not above revisiting her time as Jen Lindley.
Speaking with Vulture at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of her new movie “Take This Waltz,” Williams said that if her former co-star James Van Der Beek is up for a “Dawson’s” reunion — and he’s said he is, if the concept feels right — then she is too.
“He could totally ask!” Williams says. “I’ve always said, I’m totally up for reunion tours, reunion shows, so we can do that.” (Never mind that Jen died in the series finale.)
Also? She’d like to guest-star on “Cougar Town” with her best friend Busy Philipps: “We’ve always talked about wanting to go be on that show, too. It’s just timing, because of L.A. and New York, and it hasn’t happened.”
“Cougar Town” has finished shooting for this season and is on the bubble for renewal, but if a three-time Oscar nominee wants to be on the show, that can’t hurt.
