It’s the week of women in Hollywood sticking up for themselves. Ashley Judd took to The Daily Beast to smack down the criticisms about her puffy face. And Miley Cyrus wants the Twitterverse to know that she’s on a gluten free diet. Not that it’s any of their business.
“For everyone calling me anorexic I have a gluten and lactose allergy. It’s not about weight it’s about health. Gluten is crapppp anyway!” Cyrus tweeted on Sunday (April 8) night, encouraging others to give it a shot. “Everyone should try no gluten for a week! The change in your skin, phyisical and mental health is amazing! U won’t go back!”
“The View” co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is by far the most evangelical celebrity who has cut out gluten from her diet. While Hasselbeck suffers from the serious autoimmune disorder celiac disease, other celebrities have hopped on the bandwagon as well, including Jessica Alba, Victoria Beckham, Emmy Rossum and Zooey Deschanel.
Sunday night’s Tweets appeared to get Cyrus fired up about the topic, since Monday she returned to social media to share Will Smith‘s assertion: “Skinny = anorexic, thick = obese, virgin = too good, non-virgin = slut, friendly = fake, quiet = rude. You can never please society.”
And speaking of Judd, Cyrus sent her props as well on Tuesday morning: “thank you @AshleyJudd This article was music to my ears. Beautifully said and beyond inspiring. I hope everyone woman reads this.”
