Nicolas Cage‘s financial woes are well known. The “Ghost Rider” actor was served with a whopping $13 million dollar bill for back taxes from or 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2007. He’s just paid off a giant chunk of that giant bill, according to TMZ.
According to official documents obtained by the site, Cage just paid the government $6,257,005 that was the amount outstanding from 2007. Cage blames his business manager for all the financial issues he’s been having.
“Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance” took in almost $128 million at the box office. Cage has a bunch of films in the works, including “National Treasure 3,” so hopefully he’ll get the rest of that taken care of in the near future.
Cage has been slowly chipping away at his back taxes, but this is the largest chunk of money to date.
