Last month, George Clooney was arrested in Sudan during a non-violent protest of Sudan’s blocking humanitarian aid. Now, his former “ER” costar Noah Wyle is following in his footsteps.
Wyle was arrested alongside over 100 other members of the group ADAPT on Monday, April
23. ADAPT was on Capitol Hill to protest Congress cutting Medicaid funding. Wyle was protesting the budget cuts to prevent people with disabilities and the elderly from being forced into nursing homes for less expensive care.
Wyle was handcuffed in the rotunda of the Cannon House Office Building, with his fellow protesters — many of whom were in wheelchairs. “As soon as everybody saw me being led away, they let up a big whooping cheer, which made me feel really good,” the “Falling Skies” actor told the LA Times.
