There’s no immediate end to “The Lying Game” in sight.
ABC Family has picked up a second season of the show, which stars Alexandra Chando as separated-at-birth twins Emma and Sutton. Season 1 ended with the bombshell involving Rebecca (Charisma Carpenter) — which you can read about here but we won’t spoil in case you’re still catching up.
Fans can now breathe easy in knowing they’ll get to see the fallout from that revelation. Production on Season 2 begins in the summer, with a premiere date in the winter (we’re guessing January, around the time the second half of Season 1 got underway).
The pickup comes after “The Lying Game’s” winter episodes improved significantly in the ratings compared to the first half of the season. The show’s numbers among ABC Family’s target audience of young women were up by 28 percent in the second half of the season.
Are you excited to hear the news? What do you hope Season 2 brings?
