“American Idol’s” results show dropped a little in Thursday’s ratings after a bit of a resurgence last week, but the ratings news for some shows wasn’t as glum as it has been in the past few weeks.

“Grey’s Anatomy” hit its highest ratings in a couple of months for ABC, and “Scandal” continued to hold steady as well. “Parks and Recreation” returned to NBC with better numbers than some of its recent originals. On the down side, “The Office” remained at a low ebb, and “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Secret Circle” were below average for The CW.

Despite the “Idol” decline, FOX still led the night with just under 11 million viewers and a 6.8 rating/11 share in households. CBS (8.4 million, 5.3/9) came in second, a little ahead of ABC’s 8 million viewers and 5.4/9. NBC (3.2 million, 2.1/3) finished fourth. The CW trailed with 1.65 million viewers and a 1.2/2.

FOX also topped the adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.0 rating. ABC took second with a 2.2. No one else broke above the 2.0 mark, with CBS drawing a 1.8, NBC a 1.4 and The CW a 0.7.
