Confirmation that Whitney Houston did in fact have cocaine in her system when she died in February has already been reported, but now a coroner’s report obtained by TMZ places a “spoon with a white crystal-like substance on it” and a “white powdery substance” in her hotel room, as well.
Not exactly shocking, but it’s the clearest picture yet of the scene at the time of Houston’s death one day before the Grammy Awards.
“Located on the south portion of the counter was a small spoon with a white crystal-like substance in it and a rolled up piece of white paper, along with other miscellaneous items,” reads the report.
“Located in the top drawer, in the north side of the counter were remnants of a white powdery substance, and a portable mirror on a base.”
In addition to cocaine, the report also adds that Xanax, the muscle relaxer Flexeril and allergy medication Benadryl were also found in the singer’s blood stream.
CNN also reports that Houston was was found by an assistant “lying face down in the bathtub filled with water.”
