Supermodel Anja Rubik one-upped Angelina Jolie — the Jolie-ing originator — at Monday’s (May 7) annual Met Costume Institute Gala when she jutted her angular right leg out of a sky-high slit in her cream-colored Anthony Vaccarello gown.
Not only was her leg on display for the assembled papparazi, but so was her hip bone and her waist, which made two things immediately clear: 1. There’s no way Rubik was wearing undies and 2. She’s made of mannequin parts.
Rubik, a native of Poland, kicked off her modeling career in 2002 and has been on the cover of pretty much every edition of Vogue, walked in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and is married to Serbian model Sasha Knezevic. Learn more about her career in her New York magazine model profile.
