Ring girl Arianny Celeste missed UFC 146 on Saturday (May 26) after she was arrested on domestic violence charges in Clark County, Nevada. Celeste (real name Arianny Lopez) was taken into custody in the morning, but later freed on a $3,000 bond, reports TMZ.
Celeste herself has not issued a statement about the arrest and no other details have been made available by authorities. Yahoo Sports reported that while Celeste missed the preliminary fights at UFC 146, she was spotted at the MGM Grand Garden Arena during later bouts.
“Arianny is our baby,” said UFC president Dana White in a statement. “She has been with us for over five years. She is a good girl and an amazing ambassador for the UFC. I don’t know all the details of what happened, but we have her back and support her 100 percent.”
Hours before her arrest, Celeste tweeted the photo above with the caption, “Dinner at Mizumi.”
