“Fashion Star” has whittled down to its final three designers after Tuesday night’s (May 8) rather startling elimination of half the remaining field. We were pretty shocked that Orly Shani, who received two offers, one from H&M and one from Saks Fifth Avenue, was eliminated in favor of Nzimiro Oputa, who received no offers, but that’s the way it goes, we guess.
The final three designers are Oputa, Kara Laricks and Ronnie Escalante – not who would’ve predicted early on in the season. But let’s take a look at last night’s winning looks.
H&M made quite a few purchases – a dress by Ronnie that is selling for $39.95, a beautiful print top by Kara that is going for $24.95 and a blazer ($39.95) and trousers ($24.95) from Orly.
Macy’s purchased a twill trenchcoat from Kara that comes in both red and tan and is going for $99. We are rather in love with the red version that has floral print lining – too bad it doesn’t come in talls. Macy’s also bought Ronnie’s double-lapel suit jack and wide-leg pants, going for $208.
Finally, Saks Fifth Avenue bought two dresses – a striped, one-shoulder silk number from Nikki Poulos that we adore and an A-line sheath in black and white from Orly. Both retail for $295.
So, “Fashion Star” fans – are you happy with the final three? And are there any of this week’s winning looks you just have to have?
