Whether you’re a longtime Whedonite or you’ve just become a fan after seeing “The Avengers,” chances are — if you’re aware of pop culture — you have, or will, at some point, worship the ground that Joss Whedon walks on.
Now, you’ll get the chance to see some of the work he’s most proud of when LOGO airs a ten-hour marathon of Whedon’s own favorite episodes of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” Beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 19, park yourself on your couch and watch the cream of the “Buffy” crop.
The marathon includes groundbreaking episodes like “The Body,” in which Buffy’s mother dies of non-supernatural causes and she’s forced to admit her own helplessness in the face of human tragedy. You’ll also love “Once More With Feeling,” the musical episode that paved the way for shows like “Fringe,” “How I Met Your Mother,” and “Grey’s Anatomy” to break into song. One of our favorites is “Hush,” an episode in which every character is cursed into silence.
Set your DVRs, stock up on snacks, and call in sick to work. This is a special occasion.
