Who knew a pair of sunglasses could be “sentimental and not replaceable”? But that’s exactly how Kim Kardashian describes the pair that she believes was stolen by British Airways employees.
TMZ reports that after returning from the Cannes Film Festival on Friday (May 25), Kim noticed that some of her things were missing from her luggage — including several expensive purses, some Tumi luggage and a pair of vintage sunglasses (not pictured above) given to her by her late father, Robert Kardashian.
“Very disappointed in British Airways for opening my luggage & taking some special items of mine! Some things are sentimental ¬ replaceable,” she tweets on Monday.
She continues, “What happened to the days when you could lock your bags! We need to get back to that. There’s no sense of security & no trust!”
A spokesperson for the airline says British Airways is investigating the complaint.
“At this stage, we have discovered no evidence to suggest that the bag in question was interfered with at Heathrow,” the spokesperson says. “Our investigation is also seeking to establish details of the bag’s passage through Nice and Los Angeles airports.”
