Given the legal troubles of cast member Amber Portwood, it’s no surprise that the upcoming Season 4 of MTV’s “Teen Mom” will be its final run. Joining Portwood for the last season of the show are her co-stars Maci Bookout, Farrah Abraham, and Catelynn Lowell.
The final season will begin Tuesday, June 12 at 10 p.m. EST on MTV.
(“Teen Mom 2” and “Teen Mom 3” will both continue on the network.)
“We’re incredibly thankful to these young women for bravely sharing their stories with our audience to help make an impact on teen pregnancy prevention. This season will be an intense rollercoaster as we say goodbye to the cast who started it all — since the first season of ’16 and Pregnant,’ millions have tuned-in to see the difficulties, joys, and sorrows these young mothers have faced.”
For Amber, this season will highlight her emotional issues and some well-publicized events and conflict with Gary Shirley, culminating in her checking into rehab, where she worries that her toddler Leah will forget about her.
Farrah will prepare to move to Florida — but while she’d originally planned to leave her daughter Sophia with her parents, she’ll change her mind and decide to bring Sophia with her, raising her on her own while trying to finish school and explore a new love interest.
Maci continues to find co-parenting with her ex, Ryan Edwards, difficult, particularly as she struggles with his new girlfriend, Dalis. She and her boyfriend Kyle King have some turbulence themselves and she struggles with her decision to enroll son Bentley in daycare.
Meanwhile, everyone’s favorite, Catelynn, will have an emotional visit with her daughter, who she gave up for adoption. She and her fiancee Tyler will face a tough time when his dad, Butch — still battling his addictions — moves in with them after getting out of jail.
