The fifth AMC’s methed up drama “Breaking Bad” debuts on Sunday, July 15, but a new official poster teasing the show’s final season has arrived to suck us all back into the addictive action.
In the new art, Walt (Bryan Cranston) sits on his throne (a folding beach chair) in front of a wall of meth and money. So Heisenberg.
The show’s last season will be split in two parts, with the first eight episodes airing this summer and the remainder in summer 2013. In an interview with Zap2it earlier this year, series creator Vince Gilligan said knowing how many episodes are left in the series is a huge help in measuring out “Walt’s behavior and where the whole thing ends.”
“When you have an indefinite number of episodes left, especially with a show like this where you’re charting a guy’s descent from good guy to bad guy, you lose track of where you are in the continuum of good to bad,” said Gilligan. “But when you know you’ve got a finite number more, then you can have an easier time charting that progression.”
Season 4, for anyone trying to catch up, is set for a Tuesday (June 5) DVD and Blu-Ray release.
